It rained and rained here last night. By 8pm, it was estimated that we had gotten 3 inches of rain in 1 1/2 hrs! Luckily, we live halfway up a hill so anything that was washing down went right on by us. We literally had a pond and a river going through our backyard -- Crazy! Lee had to try and drive home in that stuff. He saw 2 high water rescues and a number of closed roads so it took him forever to get here.
In case I haven't made it clear, we live in Central Texas. We have massive flooding issues because the area is basically rock. That's why no one has basements! (which was nuts to me when we first moved here since the area is prone to get tornadoes.)
We're supposed to have 4 more days of rain so keep your fingers crossed that we don't wash away!
