Garrett slept in until 8:30 this morning causing me some alarm.  He was Mr. Cranky Pants yesterday so, maybe he just needed the extra zzzz's.  Who knows.  Anyway, he woke up cheerful and has been rather agreeable so far.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  He's going to CDC later (while I get my hair cut) and I hope I can get him to nap a bit before he goes.

My K-State Wildcats are #24 in the nation.  We take on the KU Jayhawks this weekend.  Should be a GOOD game.  Thank goodness it's a home game for us -- whew.  I'll admit, I've loved driving around with my KSU license plate frame this week.  If you are not familiar with my location, I live about 90 minutes north of Austin, which is Longhorn Country.

I've started the geometry portion of my GRE Workbook and it's been a struggle.  I hated it in high school and I still hate it.  I'm much more an algebra-girl!  T minus 17 days and 1.5 hrs until my test.  Not that I'm freaking out or anything.  I just feel like most of my application process to grad school is on hold until I get the stupid GRE out of the way.  My deadline is 1 March and if I don't do well on the test this time, I may have to put off applying for another semester.  By the way, if I haven't said anything, I'm applying to Texas A&M and plan on working towards a Master's in Natural Resource Development.  When I figure out what that means, I'll let you know. :)

I'm studying right now for the GRE.  October 20 is "D-Day" for me.  Anyway, like most people, I'm a little freaked out by the math section so I've been studying a Kaplan GRE Math Workbook for the past week or so.  It's really been a lot of help!  However, I find that it's starting to sink into my subconscious -- I'm dreaming about math!  Last night I dreamt I was factoring quadratic formulas!  UGH.

Update on Garrett's FireAnt Episode:  he is now afraid of ALL bugs.  It's making outside playtime an interesting experience.
