I'm studying right now for the GRE. October 20 is "D-Day" for me. Anyway, like most people, I'm a little freaked out by the math section so I've been studying a Kaplan GRE Math Workbook for the past week or so. It's really been a lot of help! However, I find that it's starting to sink into my subconscious -- I'm dreaming about math! Last night I dreamt I was factoring quadratic formulas! UGH.
Update on Garrett's FireAnt Episode: he is now afraid of ALL bugs. It's making outside playtime an interesting experience.
I'm going to try and write my Daily Garrett Stories for now on. Hopefully, my life isn't too boring that I can include some of my own stuff! :)
Today, we went to the mall -- I wanted to cruise through Steve and Barry's to see if they had any cheap stuff I needed. I had forgotten the stroller so Garrett was forced to hoof it. After browsing, we went to Annie Anne's for some pretzel bites (yum!). Garrett was still content with walking so I let him decide where we were heading next. He took off on a predestined path -- head down, straight line, occassionally looking up to see where he was. Finally, I could tell that he had found his target for his route began to list to the right. I thought I knew where he was heading, but wouldn't believe it until I actually saw him do it. Yep, sure enough. He headed straight into the bookstore! I'm talking, we went from one end of the mall to the other! Needless to say, we left with a new book, "My First Book of Things that Go".
Later, we had hosed down the drive (I had been pulling weeds out of the cracks) so Garrett was wet. I figured we could go to the backyard and he could play with the hose since he was drenched already. I reached the back patio first and started for the hose when I heard a SCREAM come from the side yard. I ran over to find him running toward me and crying. I couldn't figure what he had done until he pointed at his leg. It was covered in fire ants!! We rushed to the hose so I could blast them off him. Eventually, his crying subsided and I was able to check the damage -- only about 15 bites. I went ahead and stripped him right there, mostly to make sure I had gotten all the ants. Surprise! Dirty Diaper! So, I had to hose that off him too. Yuck!! Now, he's clean, dressed, Benedryl Spray'd and watching "Maisy". I wonder what else today has in store for us?
